Another TMS victory

The TMS team romped home to a third successive victory against the Adams Society in our annual cricket match, winning by 56 runs.

Despite batting first on a wet and muddy wicket in the drizzle, with the slippery conditions only compounding a few mishaps running between the wickets, the TMS team amassed a respectable 141-9 off 20 overs with an unbeaten 44 from Peter Gwynn providing the backbone of the innings. The Adams Society were then skittled out for 85 with one over to spare, with Jacob Hilton’s 4 for 14 the highlight of the bowling attack. Peter Gwynn also shined with the gloves, claiming 3 stumpings.

Final score
TMS: 141-9 (20 overs), Adams Soc: 85 (19 overs)

TMS reclaim winning form

After the shock defeat last year in the annual TMS v Adams Society cricket match, the TMS team have regained their pride by defeating the Adams Society by 37 runs.

Controversially, the TMS were put into bat first. This led to the bowling of an apple by the TMS President being against a TMS batsman. The apple went many metres wide, although the TMS President somehow found his bowling form in the Adams Soc innings, taking three wickets.

Final score
TMS: 153-6 (20 overs), Adams Soc: 116 (15.3 overs)
